Founded by educators who witnessed firsthand the gaps in special education support, Thorne Consulting emerged from a simple belief: every student deserves a second chance to reach their full potential.
The Visionary
Jamil Thorne, the visionary leader behind Thorne Consulting, has dedicated over a decade to advocating for and supporting neurodiverse learners in their journey toward academic and career success. With a strong foundation in higher education, disability services, and workforce development, he has helped countless individuals access the resources and opportunities necessary to thrive.
The Mission
In 2023, Jamil founded Thorne Consulting with a clear mission: to bridge the gap between talented individuals and sustainable careers. Under his leadership, the company upholds the core principles of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), ensuring that individuals of all backgrounds—including those with disabilities—receive the guidance and advocacy needed to secure meaningful employment.
The Impact
His dedication is deeply personal, inspired by the wisdom of his late mother, Cynthia Thorne, who instilled in him the philosophy to always "keep it pushing." Originally from Colorado Springs, CO, Mr. Thorne now calls Houston, TX, home, where he continues to lead with passion, purpose, and an unrelenting commitment to empowering individuals for lifelong success.
