The Cynthia Ann Thorne Custodial Excellence Award is established in honor of Mr. Jamil Thorne's late mother, Cynthia Ann Thorne, who passed away on July 8, 2023. Cynthia dedicated 20 years of service as a custodian, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
Through her hard work, determination, positive energy,humor, and uplifting attitude, she left a lasting impact on those she worked with. Before her passing, she was promoted to Shift Supervisor Lead, a testament to her dedication and leadership.
This annual award will recognize an outstanding custodial staff member who exemplifies the same commitment and excellence in their role. The recipient will be selected from nominations submitted by supervisors and will receive a $1,000 award.
